Which seedbank is the best?

What types of cannabis seeds are there?
Feminized and regular cannabis seeds
A basic distinction is made between feminized and regular cannabis seeds. While feminized strains only produce female plants, the ratio of female to male plants in regular strains is usually 50/50.
Most growers prefer feminized varieties, as these are the most efficient way to produce flowers. However, regular varieties are more suitable for breeding and selecting mother plants.
For both feminized cannabis seeds and regular cannabis seeds, there are photoperiodic seeds, fast-flowering seeds and autoflowering seeds.
What is the difference between photoperiodic cannabis seeds, fast-flowering seeds and autoflowering seeds?
These terms stand for the way and duration in which a cannabis plant flowers.
Photoperiodic cannabis plants start to flower when the daylight hours become shorter or when the ratio of light to darkness is set to 12/12 hours indoors. They usually produce the best yields and the best quality. If photoperiodic cannabis plants are grown outdoors, they usually start flowering between the beginning and end of August and are ready for harvest between the end of September and the end of October, depending on the flowering period.
Fast-flowering cannabis plants are usually also photoperiodic plants that have been bred for a particularly short flowering time. While most cannabis varieties require 60 to 80 days to flower, fast-flowering varieties complete flowering in just 45 to 60 days.
Autoflowering cannabis plants begin to flower within a few weeks after germination, regardless of daylight/light duration, and are particularly suitable indoors for beginners or simple grow setups that cannot guarantee continuous 12-hour darkness. Outdoors, autoflowering cannabis strains make it possible to finish flowering regardless of the time of year (provided the temperatures are right). Autoflowering cannabis plants can be planted in the garden at the end of April/beginning of May, for example, and are then ready to harvest at the end of June.
What do sativa, indica, ruderalis and hybrid mean?
Indica vs Sativa, Sativa vs Indica, Indica Sativa difference, Sativa Indica difference - what is it all about? When growing cannabis, choosing the right genetics is crucial, as they have a significant influence on growth, yield and effect. Although there are countless varieties, they can all be traced back to three main types of cannabis plant: Sativa, Indica and Ruderalis. Each of these species has unique characteristics that play a role in both cultivation and effect.
Cannabis Sativa
Sativa plants are known for their high growth and stimulating effect. Originating from regions close to the equator such as Thailand and Indonesia, they have adapted to environments with uniform light conditions and high vegetation pressure. This has led to the development of tall, slender plants with narrow leaves and a flowering time of up to 16 weeks.
Sativa-dominant strains usually contain high levels of THC and low levels of CBD, which leads to an energetic, euphoric high. Typical effects include a good mood, increased creativity and motivation as well as a stimulated appetite.
Cannabis Indica
In contrast to Sativa, Cannabis Indica is characterized by a compact, bushy growth habit. It originates from rather dry, mountainous regions such as Afghanistan and northern India. The leaves are broad and fan-shaped in order to absorb as much light as possible. Indica plants rarely grow over 1.5 meters, which - together with the short flowering time of around 8 weeks - makes them ideal for indoor cultivation. Typical indica effects include muscle relaxation, strong physical relaxation and even anaesthetic effects (couch-lock) as well as the reduction of stress and anxiety.
Cannabis Ruderalis
Ruderalis plants originally come from the northern regions of Russia and China. They are adapted to extreme weather conditions and remain very small. Their unique characteristic is their autoflowering ability - this means that their flowering is not controlled by light cycles, but starts automatically depending on their age.
Pure ruderalis strains have a very low THC content. Their main value lies in breeding, as autoflowering hybrids have been created by crossing them with indica or sativa strains, making them easy to cultivate.
Hybrid
Hybrids are crosses of sativa, indica and/or ruderalis and have been bred to combine specific characteristics of each species. These hybrid strains are the most common form of cannabis today, as they can offer customized effects.
There are different types of hybrids:
Sativa-dominant hybrids: These strains offer the energizing, creative effects of sativa, paired with a shorter flowering time or higher yielding harvests due to indica influences.
Indica-dominant hybrids: They combine the relaxing, calming effects of indica with the enhanced vigor and stimulating properties of sativa.
50:50 Hybrids: These contain an even mix of sativa and indica properties to produce both mental and physical effects.
Ruderalis hybrids: These strains utilize the autoflowering ability of ruderalis to create autoflowering strains with the psychoactive properties of sativa and indica varieties.
Which varieties are particularly suitable for beginners?
We recommend newcomers, especially if they want to start without expensive indoor equipment, to try autoflowering varieties. These are particularly suitable for growing in the garden, on the balcony or even on the windowsill.
What is the best way to germinate my seeds?
There are many different ways to germinate cannabis seeds, if you have already had positive experiences with one method we recommend that you continue to use it. If you have not yet had any success or are germinating for the first time, we have put together an overview of the best germination methods such as the water glass method, the paper towel method, the jiffy or swell pot method and the hydromedium method.

What is the best way to store my seeds?
Cannabis seeds can remain viable for up to 5 years or longer if stored optimally. They should be stored in an airtight and lightproof container, possibly with silica gel to control humidity, at a temperature of 6-8 degrees Celsius. The humidity should be between 10 and 30 %.
Proper storage ensures the germination capacity and quality of the seeds for future cultivation projects. Well-stored seeds germinate within 48-72 hours, while poorly stored seeds, if they germinate at all, take 5-7 days.
