Golden honey... Californian Gold is an Indica-dominant hybrid (80/20) with intense effects and a true treasure for growers.

The specific Californian Gold hybrid has traditional cannabis genetics given a boost, resulting in an abundance of resin glands dripping copious amounts of sweet oil.

It is easy to cultivate and features a fast flowering time that produces a high yield of resinous flowers with a high THC content (20-24%).

The Paradise Seeds R&D team was looking for a special Indica hybrid and found it in the Californian Gold variety. To celebrate legalization in the Golden State, we took classic old-school Californian genetics and improved them significantly to create a truly unique strain.

Lineage

This cannabis strain was created by crossing several traditional genetics from the Paradise Seeds archive. The Californian Gold seeds contain genes from a female Afghani and a male bred as part of the Paradise breeding program. This male combines traits of an original US Skunk and a South Asian Indica. The result is a strong Indica that is worth its weight in gold.

Smell & Taste

The scent is predominantly tropical and is characterized by a sweet, citrusy spiciness. Lemon and mango accents make the scent particularly appealing and stimulate the appetite. This reflects the terpene profile, which is rich in limonene and myrcene. The sweet taste ensures that connoisseurs get their money's worth time and time again.

Yield and Appearance

This plant has the typical Indica structure - compact and dense. It reaches maturity relatively quickly. The strikingly oily texture of the massive Californian Gold buds results from its genetic composition and the integration of the well-known hash-producing characteristics of the Indian subcontinent. Towards the end of the flowering period, it often seems as if honey is flowing from the resin-coated buds.
