Mexican Rush – Mexico's legendary Sativa
Mexican Rush is a traditional strain with direct descent from a famous Mexican landrace Sativa. At a time when sweet dessert strains dominate the market, Mexican Rush appeals especially to growers who appreciate classic flavors and a harmonious effect.
Mexican Rush cannabis seeds – pure Sativa genetics from Mexico
Mexican Rush originates from the Pacific coast of Mexico, specifically the mountainous regions around Acapulco – the Sierra Madre del Sur. There, in the hot, tropical climate, this strain developed unique characteristics that clearly distinguish it from modern hybrids.
Our breeders have carefully selected and stabilized numerous local sativas from all over Mexico to preserve this original line. The result: a robust strain with authentic Mexican heritage that delights growers worldwide with its distinctive aromas and special effects.
Taste and effects of Mexican Rush
The flowers of Mexican Rush are elongated and slightly fluffy. When dried, they take on a golden hue that makes them a visual highlight. Opening a jar of this strain releases a complex bouquet of fruity and piney notes, underscored by earthy undertones and a sweet, almost honey-like base. When smoked, earthier flavors dominate with a spicy finish – a real treat for connoisseurs.
Mexican Rush impresses not only with its taste, but also with its balanced effect: with 22% THC and a rich terpene profile of β-caryophyllene, myrcene, and limonene, it offers a calming physical high combined with a clear, focused head feeling – perfect for daytime use.
Growing Mexican Rush – Acapulco Gold reinterpreted
As befits a true Mexican sativa, Mexican Rush unfolds its full potential outdoors. It is ideal for warm, humid climates with long summers. Outdoors, it reaches heights of up to 2 meters and develops impressive main shoots densely covered with resinous, slender buds.
Thanks to intensive breeding, Mexican Rush also thrives indoors. Here it can be kept more compact – between 80 and 130 cm – without compromising on quality or yield. The flowering time is 9–11 weeks, during which it can achieve yields of up to 550–600 g/m². Outdoors, it matures by mid-October and yields up to 700 g per plant – a real highlight for lovers of classic Sativas.
