Citric acid is essential for the so-called citric acid cycle. During this process, plants convert applied fertilizers into the energy carriers ATP and ADP. These energy carriers then pass over energy to the stem, the leaves and the flowers. Plants make citric acid themselves, but a supplement has demonstrable positive effects. The crop looks more vital and lively after about two days.
A supplement has a stimulating effect on the course of the growth. Application: for initial wetting of new media such as rockwool/trays for cuttings, and for flushing artificial substrates.
CITRIC ACID DOSAGE:
Initial soaking of rockwool slabs /trays / Mapito: add acid to water until pH 5.5 (the dosage depends on the tapwater). Flushing of rockwool slabs / Mapito: make a solution with pH 5.8 and flush each slab (or 10 liters of Mapito) with 5 liters. Soil / coco substrate: once per 2-3 weeks as a supplement (without fertilizers). Never mix citric acid with fertilizers, but only with water.
