The SilentAir3 air pump from PennPlax is a standard part of the Advanced Hydroponics of Holland aqua system. Although small, this pump is very quiet and efficient. With a capacity of 120 liters per hour and a power consumption of just 3 watts, it offers excellent performance. It also has a connection for an air stone.
The air pump keeps the nutrient solution in the bucket active, which means the nutrients are retained for longer. It works in conjunction with the riser pipe to direct the solution through the pipe. From there it flows into the perforated drip ring and then onto the planting medium. This ensures a constant supply of plants.
